Guest Preacher: The Rev. Joyce Corbin Allen

This MLK Sunday, we welcome the Rev. Joyce Corbin Allen as our guest preacher. A second-career priest ordained in 2015, Joyce brings decades of experience from parish ministry and the wider world, plus a deep commitment to racial justice. She currently serves the diocese as a member of the Dismantling Racism and Pilgrimages teams and through supply and bridge-priest roles. Joyce is passionate about creating space for honest, sometimes uncomfortable conversations as part of our shared call to be co-creators of God’s dream for creation.

Sunday Forum: Remembering Martin Luther King

10am • Parish Hall and Zoom

Come share and listen to personal memories of the assassination of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. How did you hear the news? How did it affect you, your family, or your community? And what feels different or the same today? Those who were too young to remember are especially invited to come listen. The conversation will continue in the library after the 11am service for anyone who wishes to share more.

“I am absolutely convinced that God is not interested merely in the freedom of black men and brown men and yellow men. But God is interested in the freedom of the whole human race, the creation of a society where all men will live together as brothers and every man will respect the dignity and worth of all human personality.”
