Intergenerational fellowship and service create new friendships and build community. At St. Philip’s, events are intentionally created so that people of all ages can easily join in.
Recently my son said, “when are we going to have another church square dance?” The fact that a sometimes-reluctant kid remembers that event two years after the fact says a lot to me. It is almost a silly little thing in the context of all the big, important, hard work the church does, but the concept from which it came, “fun is faithful,” is a good reminder that God’s work can be joyful.
