For those of us who have returned to in-person worship over the past months, we have learned again what a joy it is to be together. However, the Delta variant has changed the trajectory of the pandemic. The number of cases and hospitalizations is rising in Durham and many other neighboring counties. The Diocese has changed some of its guidance and has advised congregations to implement where they see fit.
The Return to Worship Committee has decided that beginning Sunday, August 8, masks must be worn at all times during each service. This is for those who are vaccinated and those who are not. Additionally, the staff will immediately return to wearing masks in the office, and we ask that masks are worn when visiting the office for meetings and other gatherings.
We are happy to provide you with a mask during the service or in the office.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Interim Associate Rector Gabe Lamazres (gabe@stphilipsdurham.org) or Return to Worship Chair Sue Guptill (sguptill@mindspring.com).
