Tuesday, July 4, 12 p.m.
Parish Hall

Ahhh, July 4th. A time of fireworks, bug spray, hot dogs and Sousa marches. But did you know Independence Day is also one of only two national holidays in the Episcopal calendar of feasts? (The other is Thanksgiving.)

Basically, the founders of the Episcopal Church hard-wired the Independence Day service into our church’s calendar. Probably because they knew our nation always needs our prayers – be they prayers of repentance, prayers for help, or prayers of thanksgiving.

This Tuesday, July 4, join us for a brief Independence Day Eucharist at 12 p.m. The Rev. Maryann D. Younger will preach and celebrate. We promise we’ll get out in time for hot dogs.

The church office will close Monday and Tuesday for the holiday.
