2026 Annual Meeting Highlights

Sunday, February 8, 2026

Thanks to everyone who participated in our 2026 annual meeting! It was a joy to be together, celebrate last year’s work, and look toward the future. Here’s a re-cap.

New vestry members

We elected four new vestry members: Jill Downs, Andy Slaughter, Natalie Sommerville, and Bynum Walter. The new members will serve three-year terms through January of 2029. Huge thanks to all the nominees who were willing to serve and to our outgoing vestry members!

Meeting highlights

In addition, Maryann gave her fifth annual State-of-the-Church address (video below), we passed all four bylaw updates (now you can vote online!), heard from the Sacred Spaces Committee about updating our space, heard how we’ve expanded our outreach giving to the community, and distributed our brand new nametags.

State-of-the-Church address

The Rev. Maryann D. Younger delivered her fifth annual State-of-the-Church Address: “Connections, building, and belonging.”
