Upcoming Sunday Forums:

Filio-who?June 22 • 10 AM – Starting last week, the 9 a.m. service began using a slightly different version of the Nicene Creed. Why the change? Where did this version come from? And why does it say the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father… period? What happened to the Son? We’ll take a closer look at the filioque clause – Latin for “and the Son” – a small phrase with a giant impact. (Did you know the debate over whether to include it helped spark the Great Schism between Eastern and Western Christianity in 1054?) Upcoming Engage! sessions:

Reading GenesisStarting June 11 • 6:30 PM – Starting June 11, we’ll read the Book of Genesis together on Wednesday nights. Our companion on the journey is Marilynne Robinson (author of Gilead, Home, Housekeeping, and other beloved novels) through her collection of essays entitled Reading Genesis. Our wide-ranging study will focus on the text of Genesis in the King James Bible, and we’ll read Robinson’s reflections along the way to enrich our conversation. Order the book or e-book (which contains the full text of Genesis in the KJV) from your favorite bookseller:
