“And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8

A kind of Pentecost preview, the Feast of the Ascension commemorates Jesus being taken up into heaven 40 days after his resurrection. It’s always 10 days before Pentecost. And it marks the end of Jesus’ time on earth, and the beginning of the story of the church – of the disciples going out into the world to spread Christ’s love with everyone.
