Sixteen stained-glass windows grace our church – or 22, depending on how you count! And none were in the building when it opened for worship in 1907.
Why are windows with colored glass so often part of a church building – but not always? Join art historian Tim Riggs in learning about St. Philip’s beautiful stained glass windows. He’ll discuss how our windows came to be here, why they look the way they do, and what they can tell us.
Parishioner Tim Riggs is an art historian and former museum curator, and he’s been thinking about St. Philip’s art and architecture for the past 30 years. He currently serves on St. Philip’s Sacred Spaces committee.
