St. Philip’s recognized for excellence in communications
Award-winning social media post highlighted 2024 Stagville Pilgrimage

May 15, 2025 – The Episcopal Communicators professional organization recently announced winners of the 2025 Polly Bond Awards for Excellence in Communications – and St. Philip’s took home a top award!
Our Minister for Communications, Grace Camblos, received first place for best social media post at this year’s Episcopal Communicators conference in Oklahoma City. These awards recognize excellence in church communications across 20 different categories for work completed in 2024. Independently judged by respected and experienced communications professionals outside of the organization’s membership, the best submissions in each
category receive awards.
St. Philip’s winning post highlighted our 2024 pilgrimage to Historic Stagville. It featured a photo of bricks handmade by enslaved people – their fingerprints still visible – along with a quote from Priest Associate Lisa Fischbeck and photos from Lisa and parishioner Gail Albergo.
Please thank our excellent communications minister for a job well done!
All winning submissions are showcased on the Episcopal Communicators website to inspire ideas and foster excellence in Episcopal communications across the country. Learn more about the Polly Bond awards.
