Join the St. Philip’s Racial Justice and Reconciliation committee to visit Stagville on May 14 from 10 AM – 12 PM. Stagville is a state historic site dedicated to teaching about the lives and work of enslaved people on the plantation, one of the largest in North Carolina. Due to the nature of the tour, this visit is not recommended for young children. Middle school-aged children may attend at their parent’s discretion; high school-aged youth are welcome. To prepare for the visit, there will be a presentation about Stagville and the Episcopal Church’s commitment to Becoming Beloved Community at the Adult Formation hour on May 8 (10 AM). All are welcome to attend.
