Born and raised in Minnesota, Nia completed her Bachelor of Arts at Hawai’i Pacific University. Her love for fashion and interacting with people led her to work in customer service. Nia assisted clientele across the country from Hawaii to New York City, embracing the cultural and linguistic differences in each market by learning conversational Japanese and preserving her fluency in Spanish. Nia left the industry to raise two sons and volunteer in programs she believed in. She has been recognized for her contributions to the United States Marine Corps Family Readiness Program, her achievements as a Head coach for Girls on the Run, and her efforts in boosting small businesses’ presence on social media. Nia has recently moved to Durham from Pensacola, Florida where she studied Accounting. She is now joining the St. Philip’s staff as the Parish Administrator and is enthusiastic to bring her organization, multi-tasking skills, and outgoing nature to all aspects of the parish office.
