Quiet can feel impossible in our hurried, busy lives. But sometimes one moment is all it takes – is God calling us to notice something? To reach out to someone?

This Advent season we invite you to cultivate quiet. Quiet as a spiritual practice helps us prepare our hearts, our minds and our lives to welcome Christ in.

Two Wednesdays this Advent, we’ll move through a guided meditation of mind, heart, and soul as we prepare the way for God to meet us anew in ourselves. Join us!

Cultivating Quiet in the Church:
Wednesday, December 13
Wednesday, December 20
6:30-7:30 p.m.

Note that light incense will be present. And if you haven’t already picked one up at church, check out “Cultivating Quiet” for tips on meditating and contemplation.

Also check out the Advent Quiet Day at The Trees – Tuesday, December 5. Come enjoy quiet at The Trees any time between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Walk the trails, sit under the trees, meditate indoors, read, write, light a candle, or pray. A simple lunch will be served.

We need room for God to be working in our lives. May you find a path toward God that is restful and restorative and that deepens your relationship with all that is Holy.
