Make Advent Wreaths and Carry Kindness Kits
Sunday, November 30, 2025
10am • Parish Hall
Get a joyful start to the season of Advent! On the first Sunday of Advent, join us in making Advent wreaths to use at home and in assembling Carry Kindness self-care kits for our neighbors in need.
Make an Advent Wreath
Mark the start of Advent by making an Advent wreath to use at home. We’ll have materials available (wreath forms, candles, and greenery) – though we encourage you to reuse anything you already have.
To help us plan, please let us know how many people are coming, how you can help, and what materials you’ll need.
Questions? Please reach out to Emily Sparks, Ryals Minister for Families, at emily@stphilipsdurham.org.
Suggested donation:
$5 / wreath form
$5 per set of candles
Make Carry Kindness Self-Care Kits

As cooler weather approaches, our neighbors experiencing homelessness need our care more than ever. Join us in creating Carry Kindness self-care kits filled with essentials for health and warmth. They’re easy to hand to someone at a stoplight or whenever you meet someone in need.
Bring donations by Sunday, November 30 to the bins labeled “Carry Kindness” in the vestibule.
We’ll assemble the bags November 30 during the 10am formation hour. When we’re done, you can take 1–3 kits with you. Join us in making these simple, portable reminders that people are seen and cared for.
